Taped is a 40 year old anonymous emerging British contemporary [ghost] artist, capturing the attention of both art investors and collectors with his distinctive meme-style and retro-vibe ‘Music Nostalgia Art’. Raised on the south east coast of the UK, Taped later moved to West London to expand his career opportunities in both art and advertising.

Music and Advertising played a key role in his pursuit within the creative industry. Though his creative direction and vision had made a significant impacts within the advertising space, Taped still felt unfulfilled, and wanted to push his passion for art and music. Music in particular was a significant element of his daily routines. Taped was inspired by lyrics; from the age of 12 he would end most days by reading the lyrics of songs, which then triggered the urge to paint abstract works to bring these lyrics to life. His distinctive style of layered stencil work, spray paint, acrylic and screen printing, is always garnished with his avant-garde quotes and meme-style text, reflecting both his humour and his perspective on the world.
